General Directions

Lurman Woodland Theatre is located on the grounds of Catonsville High School in Baltimore County, Maryland. The High School is located at the intersection of South Rolling Road and Bloomsbury Avenue. This is where the Fourth of July Fireworks are held every year. The theatre is in the woods behind the High School at Bloomsbury Avenue and Hilltop Road.

There are two Lurman entrances with parking – the Hilltop Road entrance at approximately 614 Hilltop Road and the Bloomsbury Avenue entrance at approximately 425 Bloomsbury Avenue. Each have a Lurman sign to indicate the theatre entrance and use either of these two addresses in GPS devices or MapQuest.com. Park in the outer parking lots there and walk into the theatre.

Handicap persons should enter through the Hilltop Road entrance and may proceed into the theatre's narrow, single lane access road to the theatre’s limited amount of handicap parking in the designated area closer to the wheel chair ramp and concession stand.

Watch for signs or theatre volunteers for guidance. If these parking lots are full, parking is available elsewhere on the school grounds, or on Bloomsbury Avenue or other side streets.

ALTERNATE VENUE IN CASE OF INCLEMENT WEATHER (Select Shows Only)

Rain relocations for the 2010 season are ONLY arranged for the five Anniversary Concerts designated in the schedule. All other concerts DO NOT have a backup venue. You can call the concert hotline (toll free 1-877-278-0961) in mid/late afternoon on the day of the concert to find out if that concert is being moved or cancelled because of inclement weather.

Alternate Venue - Community College of Baltimore County-Catonsville

The rain relocation venue for the five Anniversary Concerts is CCBC Catonsville, formerly known as Catonsville Community College in Building "L" – the "Athletic and Wellness Center". CCBC’s address is 800 S. Rolling Road, Catonsville, MD 21228. Upon entering the campus at 800 S. Rolling Road, follow Campus Drive - a loop around the campus. When Campus Drive splits to the left and right, taking either direction will circle around to Building "L" (see aerial map below). Recommended: Bearing right at the split and circling around will provide a better view of Building "L" as you approach. Building "L" is the very large circular green domed "Athletic and Wellness Center” (see photo below). Park at Parking Lot "5".

If threatening weather, call 1-877-278-0961 after 3 PM for updated show location information. If the standard concert announcement is still being presented after 3 PM, then the concert will be held outdoors at the Lurman as originally planned, otherwise the announcement will inform you that the Anniversary Concert will be held indoors at CCBC Building "L".
